I do believe that is the most that has ever been done! ...At least since I've been paying attention (since my respawn after a 5-year SL hiatus and my recent pleasure of doing this blog). :)
Now I have blogged about Fantasy Faire a total of ---> 1 & ---> 1/2 times. I started doing that for a few different reasons:
- Because I could, first and foremost. I mean, do love to write. Especially about things I am passionate about (in case you couldn't tell already), and FF (I have to tell you), is truly THE one thing to look forward to every year in SL ...I mean, you want your cake and to eat it too? To be anything you want and to do anything you want in SL? Well, how about LOTS of frosting and even flavored milk to wash that all down with?! -FF is SL on steroids, LOL! xD The best of the best gather every year. This is why I am willing to take a hit and give up the normal things in SL that make me happy for this annual event (perhaps weekly sales, but definitely my fishing rank!). ...And at any rate, hopefully, after reading this entry, you may sincerely see at least a bit on just exactly why FF is such a powerful event, and so very blog-worthy.
- Because I find that if I blog it (with a shit-ton of pix & Creator info. including SLURLs) I have time to go back thru my notable tastes & spend my money a bit more wisely. --That is not to say that dumping every dollar you can on FF is bad. Not at all. In fact, this WHOLE FF event is for the very great cause of supporting Relay For Life and it is likely (& very proudly), the BIGGEST fucking contributor, at least in the whole of any "gaming" community, IMO! \m/ ...Just me, personally, I am actually on a very fixed income in RL, unfortunately, so I find it a bit wise to reign in my favorite & most pleasurable SL past-time (of very impulsive impulse buying), by taking these notes to refer back to later (...and then, why shouldn't you benefit from them as well?). xD
- That being said, I am also like to challenge myself to stay experienced in the type of writing style I do. I try to make things very "Earthy" so anyone can understand and feel included as my adventures unfold. Plus, it is nice to have memories to look back upon. And a LOT of work goes into FF each year. Fabulous Creators and special creations, all in the name of fighting cancer. I cannot think of one person who hasn't been affected by cancer in some way or another. So please join me in justifying this powerful cause, and I promise that you will not find it hard at all to give back just by letting yourself get swept away in this magnificent effort as well!
Some additional mentions I'd like to add:
- This year, I would like to also do this in honor of my Marine coworker buddy's wife, gone very suddenly and too very soon to cancer. A very kind and caring person who knew how to take charge and get things done right. A Special Education Teacher's Aide loved by all. Her favorite past-times included Legos, puzzles, but she did also put up with all kinds of car antics. She is survived by her mother (who also battles cancer), husband (who gave me permission to write this little piece here), children, and grandsons. ...Thank you for letting us be a part of your life and enhancing ours. You are missed, a whole heck of a bunch, but at least now you can finally enjoy the peace you more than certainly deserve. ♥
- Although it would be nice to have the "FF Chronicler" tag that I saw lots of yahoos running around with... I don't. I mean, yus, I did see the FF Blogger Info. in enough time to apply, however, I chose not to for several reasons. First, I'm not entirely sure that 1 & 1/2 times is prerequisite enough to be mentioned amongst that elite team. Plus, I find that my writing only works when I have the freedom to do it for myself and my own very high standards (not to network/kiss-ass, or to be a part of a club/niche/clique, or to essentially sellout and give whatever I'm writing about complete control over what I can and cannot present). I've had all too much experience with "their house, their rules" over and much too much over again in SL (...like why ruin the fantasy spell of Oz over me with FF at this point?). xD The main thing is that if you find my writing informative and entertaining enough to benefit from, then that makes it all the more powerful (and I'm sure that George Carlin, or anyone who rejects mainstream American network television news for the alternative "underground" or another country's, would concur). Nonetheless, knowing how I report things, FF may take pride in the fact that I am unable to tear it apart, as they are the leaders who set the example for SL. Lastly, I do see that I genuinely meet the criteria that it seems Sonya Marmurek mentions, however, I might feel very different if, case in point, FF came to me to write an entry for them, much like how PlantPets came to me to write about their Summer Festival.
- I do need to absolutely thank my RL BF who gave me this high-end gaming rig, to make this all even possible ...To be able to push this out ASAP without combating years of lag, and to be able to present to you stunningly gorgeous pictures (this is how all my blog posts and SL experiences are MEANT to be done and shared)... And not to mention, who is SO amazingly awesome, simply because he's willing to support the sacrifice of our time together, all in the name of likely little to no prestige, just because this is something I am headstrong about (and fucking goddamned determined to do!). xD ;) ♥
- Calendar of events schedule of stuff is ---> here. I'm not sure if I have enough time to do any of the concert events or interactive Role-Play events they usually have to offer, as my goal is to go thru this in a reasonable enough amount of time for everyone to be able to enjoy this and/or be inspired to also come and enjoy ...But we will see. I usually like to blame this on RL work, but, thank goodness the pandemic raised essential worker wages, and in order to adhere to the federal SGA limit in the highest minimum wage paid state, I had to give up some nights ...Fuckface bureaucracy. :p At any rate, you may wish to double-check with The SL Newser, just in case. And anyhoo, enough bitching about being in-between worlds, and on with the fun part! \m/ :D
- I traveled by foot and broke this entry down by the names of each region in big, blue font. You may also use the "Ctrl" + "f" keys to find a particular word you are looking for. - Just like in years past, I took as many pictures as possible (although, this year has a record of damn near 700 pictures!).
- No, I do not feel like dealing with EEP and moving my store above 600m right now (fuckity fuck, fuck stupid fucks), so these pix are from the very last version of Firestorm that still does WL. I also didn't feel like bothering to accept WL experiences (oops/sorry/shrug/IDC). I know, I break all the rules that I can get away with. :p My photos are also raw and very rarely edited (it's a fun, sick game I play with me, myself, and I -who puts these blog posts all together- not the Trojan army), except to fit on this blog page. Sometimes they don't always turn out as awesome as they could be, but you know WTF they're of. I think I almost got 1/2 way thru before I remembered the keyboard commands to fine-tune the camera controls (Alt + Ctrl + arrows = orbit, Alt + arrows up and down are zoom, and Alt + Ctrl + Shift = move camera laterally). :p All pictures will generously fit the width of this blog on your average computer screen (900 pixels wide). That being said, I tried to capture notable things for everyone (all genders and species). I tried to be fair and blog as much as I could, but if for some reason a specific shop didn't show up, it's not because I hate it or whatever... I basically captured all the things I like/want, and then I tried to make it a little bit more fair in considering the other ppl who may invest their time in bothering to read this. I promise, that I spent a SHIT-TON of quality hours @ FF to put this entry together. I'm very thorough. I traveled on foot. I cammed everywhere. If I didn't mention anything from a certain store or place in this blog, it was NOT to piss you off. This is ultimately *MY* personal blog. I put in it what is important to me ...so if you have a problem with it, you can just fuck off and continue having a nice day! :D
- I have also taken as many pictures as I could of RFL/FF exclusives (these are things you may want to pay particular attention to, as once the Faire is done, you may not be able to buy them). These things are also sometimes listed as "ACS FF Vendor - OFFICIAL v27," and yes, that's where I usually had to dig into the Contents to copy/paste exactly what you would be buying (as it seems a lot of Creators omitted changing the names of their vendors, even on their Caspervends).
- Now, as far as how to read stuff on my "featured shopping" pix...
- Under each of those pictures, from left to right, top to bottom, I tried to list the names of these buyable things featured in the picture ("try" is the keyword, as sometimes it wasn't always possible to do so). I did, however, copy/paste names from the Build/Edit window (and sometimes the Contents part of the window) so things are easy for you to Area Search find. I guess I should also note that sometimes I meant to get just one thing in the picture, but other things that weren't the focus of the picture got cut off ...that's just life, fucking work around it and deal with it. I mean, I think I derendered one staircase support, but that was only because it was blocking the object I was trying to capture, TBH. You really can't tell. *shrug* :p
- Under that, I put the name of the Creator with a clickable link, where you may find their inworld store information (outside of the FF event), usually in their Profile Picks section. "...But, Majik, why don't you list inworld stores?" -Because ppl buy/sell land & move their shops around like musical chairs, it's better to just look at the Creator's profile at the specific time you want to visit. Yus (even tho some Creators hate the MP tax). Again, IDC, that's life, work around it (and if you "play" SL, you're smart enough to figure that shit out and deal with it)! :)
- In the same line with the Creator's name-link will be a link to their Marketplace store, if applicable. Sometimes the link will even take you directly to the featured product (if I was able to find it).
- Under that, I listed how much the featured item/s cost at FF, and any additional notes (like if there is no/demo available, fatpack options, etc.). I tried to be as accurate as I could, but I did notice that some vendors were actually able to fool me (like as to whether or not there was or wasn't a demo). Again, go to FF & see for yourself, just to make sure. My blog is just for personal reference, mostly, but you are invited to enjoy it too. Also, please note these remarks refer to FF, for example, a demo may very well be available at the Creator's mainstore.
- And finally, under that, is the SLURL (a clickable link to get you inworld near the item/s & out of the way of likely spawning on somebody, as I do like to cam around to shop) in FF.
- Sometimes I may write things above a picture and then have an all-inclusive, informative one-liner written under it ...just to break up the monotony, or if it suits the format better ...Whatthefuckever, you're smart, you will figure it out! :)
...Yeah, even tho I have certainly fantasized about it before when I had the crap-top, I'm not even gonna go there like that and be a complete ass who abuses their graphics card power over everyone and make everyone else's life miserable ...Even tho that
would be funny, LOL! xD
But yeah, I remember what it's like to move around like you're trapped in jelly and then relentlessly crash, so I'll just be kind. I can always come back and shoot scenery pix with my fantasy outfit if I really care.
Teegles look better when you ride them, rather than wear them, anyway. :p Tell you what, I'll compromise and just wear an outfit I normally would wear. Cut that complexity shit by more than half. I mean, I'm a fantasy creature anyway. ;) Ironic twists of mischief abound! The dark fae / succubus who gets eyeballed at church by newbies, and the same creature who wears cotton to FF! xD

pose-ball animations (although, you cannot actually sit on these objects), "1: See no Evil," "1: Hear no Evil," "1: Speak no Evil," "1: Pendulum," "1: Fly," "1: Twirly," the heart cloud does say, "1: Handstand," under that, "1: Hang," leading to the Cheshire Cat...

The octopus and the jellyfish in the background are
animesh, appearing to swim by floating up and down.
Warwick Falconer has a forest Worldling complete with animated water, snakes, dragonflies, and glowing mist!
This says "Beryl," but the responsible resident's name is
Strifeclaw (strifeclaws), who brings us an animated haunted demon scene of black silhouettes grasping from the ground, and a select few floating up and swirling around in a chaotic darkness.
This bee was caught outside the window display...
...Not sure if the rusted-out factory has been taken over by the essential worker bees, or if this is a message that bees are so important to the world's supply of things, but either way, it does make you kinda think.
This portal has a warm swirling red light and is surrounded by swirling leaves
The fairies are also animated and surrounded by even tinier fireflies and butterflies.
ᵗᵒᵒ ᵇᵘˢʸ 4 U (doctor.aho) brings us a rather promising terrain Worldling, almost to say that there is a shimmer of hope fighting all the darkness.

In other words, do you start with a story line? An image? An idea for a build you’ve always wanted to try? Where does the creative process begin for you?

Wainwright (faust.steamer): The prompt for this round was "Cathedral City", and it kicked off from there with more relevant music stuffed into a playlist, mood boards put together and concept art sketched out (quite briefly) to get an idea of the direction I want to go. Once the visual and audio canon is set, the story telling begins, and the lore building is put together over time in between creating more visuals of the world.[2021/05/02 16:04] Second Life: Now playing: Inner Cathedral

Wainwright (faust.steamer): My base inspiration is to cover gothic literature, and in some ways, this sim is an homage to the trending questions that cropped up during Queen Victoria's long mourning. A city of mourning and remembrance is what Somniatoris Arx is all about, rather than being spooky and filled with nefarious intentions.

[2021/05/02 16:10] Aoife (aoife.lorefield): So, instead, I will ask about the story ... you've said you start with music, then images, then story ... how detailed a narrative do you create at the beginning? Or do details emerge with the build?
[2021/05/02 16:12] Walton F. Wainwright (faust.steamer): Details emerge with the build as I add more elements to it; tying it all together and forming a culture from artifact to artifact. When designing the priests for example, I focused on the culture of mourning, and once I get that down, I start developing the people, and how they approach the world around them. The writing is done in between breaks from meshing, I do develop something concrete in my mind first, but that never gets jotted down in the same detail as designing the visual aspect of the lore.

If you could, please introduce Victor, and the other team members here tonight, and then perhaps share something about when you bring in collaborators and how you work together.
If we look to film directors as examples, we go from Hitchcock who controlled his films down to the individual frame, to Altman who didn’t even write dialogue but instead put his actors in a space and told them to get into character and talk. What does your process look like once you start working with a group?

Wainwright (faust.steamer): The process begins after I set down my idea, type out a brief document about my concept, and begin to start contacting members of my team who specialise in specific areas that will help with the morale in this sim's creation. Once I have a concept, idea, and everything on paper, I go to Eckenfeld and work side by side with him to get the theme song of the sim exactly how it is heard in both of our minds (which will be released as a gramophone this week, so stay tuned for that new release!).
[2021/05/02 16:15] Baran Breen: Somniator has a jewel on its forehead before he turn into skeleton ?
[2021/05/02 16:16] Walton F. Wainwright (faust.steamer): From there, I start meshing. Good lord do I keep on meshing in between new releases for my store, because the number of parts needed to be done for this city is quite a task! I worked to the bone to ensure every mesh part uses as few textures as possible (and most of them share the same single texture using various tricks), rendering this entire build down to a mere 43 textures numbering to a total of 53,504kb VRAM - this low number is due to the use of 512 textures. Once all is done, given custom level of detail, I start gathering the rest of my team of enthusiastic friends and staff who share the same mindset in creating a wonderful place to start putting together buildings. It's like a work party where we share techniques we discovered along the way, and it helps take some weight off my back while I put all my effort into the main art pieces seen on the sim.

Wainwright (faust.steamer): Then Alkaia Exonar, my scripter, rolls in to work on clever and low lag scripts made specifically for high performance in crowded sims, which you can see in the swinging thurible that barely affects the sim's resources (despite people assuming so, but actually we're facing some sim server issues which is already addressed for next year's FF), and sound design is worked into the sim with very few clever scripts that help spice up things from sounding too repetitive. Everything in this sim is original work: from sounds, to sculptures, to scripts. All of it is tailored for Fantasy Faire and nothing more (unless we decide to do a spirit of it after the faire in the future). I keep tabs on every aspect of the build: from texture number, polygons, and scripts. It's probably why, despite some FPS issues from server and vendor lag, that this massive city loads quite fast, despite the scale.

Wainwright (faust.steamer): Victor here is the Co-creator of Contraption and focuses on releases during the event such as the Somniator's prayer beads, though, has done the lamp posts seen on sim (and on sale here), and the large cathedral engine next to The Somniator behind me.

The 3D art of things is actually creative exploration and interested in doing 3D things on Second Life and other virtual world platforms in particular. For the others -- I'm not sure! My RL work often includes in depth design and fabrication processes of real world products - at the moment, it’s furniture. Therefore, I often find myself more mechanically inclined, so I often design the machinery, robots, etc… for [ContraptioN]. As for artistic exploration, it’s usually the entirety of my body of work here on SL. RL constraints are often a lot more limiting than SL, so I use this platform as a creative medium to do what I wish.
[2021/05/02 16:29] Aliton Firehawk: Walton made a very well developed build kit that made things very easy to manipulate and work with using SL's built-in tools (snap-to-grid, local positioning, etc). Most of my creative experience was birthed from doing things in the game, so that did help.
[2021/05/02 16:31] Alkaia Exonar: Coding was something I went to school for as well, so LSL scripting somewhat flows from my RL skill set - though LSL is its own beast and uniquely frustrating in many ways.

"The Story of Peaville - 01 - Welcome to Peaville
"Welcome to the very special land of Peaville. Peaville was once a vibrant, bustling forest. The animals and all its special little inhabitants lived in harmony with nature, and deep in the center of the forest, hidden somewhere, lay the tiny kingdom of Peaville. No one knows exactly where this place was - some say its special power and energy was fed by good thoughts and deeds. This energy kept the huge forest in balance.
"But at some point, dark shadows arose and spread across the land. Strangers came - and what had always contributed to the protection and strength of this land gradually turned into the opposite, for not all strangers came with good intentions. They began to rob nature and cut down healthy, strong trees. At some point, these strangers also found the hidden kingdom and they quickly noticed that a special power seemed to emanate from here. Everything in and around this place was even more lush, even greener, even warmer, even heartier and livelier. These strangers decided to search for and attack the cause of this very special richness.
"The good news is, they never managed to invade this kingdom. No matter how many attacked, how strong the weapons were - it did not lead them into the center. But unfortunately, with all these negative actions, the balance of the forest changed. Small, weak plants and animals were no longer fed by the energy of the big whole and perished. The lush green disappeared more and more until the land continued to exist in a duller brown overall picture. "The Story of Peaville - 02 - PEA 's Crash Landing
"Philomena Pea, the Crown Princess of Peachtown was deathly unhappy! Her parents had chosen a husband for her - Paco Peach, of all people, the prince from Pealadelphia! And the only reason for this marriage was to bring the two kingdoms together to become even bigger and stronger. Philomena cried bitter tears, but her parents would not relent. So one night she secretly packed her most precious possessions into two suitcases and took her beloved pet Pittie Peagle, a beagle and together they slipped through the hallways.
"She boarded one of the royal hot air balloons, fired it up and lifted up undetected into the night sky. As soon as she saw the thick castle walls disappear beneath her, the lighter and happier she began to feel.
"Many nights and days she flew in her balloon, crossing the Pearing Sea, Carippean Sea, the Pearsian Gulf, along the Caspean Sea and even the Great Barrier Peaf, when suddenly one night there was turbulence - a storm came up and her little balloon began to tumble. She got caught in the middle of a whirlwind, was shaken and when she found her bearings again, she was plummeting down at a dramatic speed. She reached for her pet in fear as she crashed loudly to the ground. Fortunately for her, the fall was softened by a huge lily of the valley.
"By a miraculous, happy coincidence, her fall was witnessed by Prosperus Peanut, Crown Prince to Peaville. He was roaming the Peaville countryside with his cat Pierce Pearsian and his faithful horse Lilly Lippezean. He rushed to the scene of the accident to see if there were any injured people and could not believe his eyes. There, on the ground, amidst the rubble, in all the desolate brown grass, sat the most beautiful, noble, green-skinned girl he had ever seen. His heart immediately began to pound wildly... and he thought of the stories of his childhood that his grandmother had always told him about Peaville...."
"The Story of Peaville - 03 - Philomena's Hideout
"Prosperus held out his hand to Philomena to help her up. It felt very soft and warm and smelled deliciously of sweet pea. She told him about the crash and her escape from home.
"Prosperus offered her his horse. He explained to her that the dark forests of the surrounding countryside were a dangerous place, so he promised to find her a safe shelter... A short walk away, they reached a meadow. Surrounded by tall grass and huge PoisonPEA Mushroom, a walnut shell lay there - the perfect hiding place for Philomena. He took her there and she made herself comfortable in the little cave. He felt how exhausted she was, gave her some water and provisions from his bag and promised to check on her again the next day.
"He hadn't slept all night - his thoughts kept circling around this beautiful green creature. Could the ancient prophecy be coming true? Had fate brought Philomena to his land to strengthen Peaville, to renew it? At early dawn he rode to the meadow, found Philomena slumbering and could not believe his eyes - the grass all around the cave was a lush, rich green. It was proof to him - she was there! She was the jewel that would bring peace, harmony, strength and love back to Peaville. He sat down quietly on the grass in front of her and watched her sleep.
"Upon awakening she smiled seeing his familiar face! They talked for a while, he began to tell her about Peaville, how strong and harmonious it once was, but that envy and ill will were trying to destroy that harmony. Philomena showed much understanding and compassion, put her hand on his to give him comfort - and his heart beat wildly and so loudly that he thought it would echo through the woods like a drumming echo.... They talked for a long time, shared common interests, both loved the book "Peanocchio" as children. When Philomena was tired again, he politely said goodbye and invited her to a peacnic for the afternoon - then he rode home to his kingdom to make all the necessary preparations. He felt it deep within himself and knew what to do ! "
"The Story of Peaville - 04 - Falling in Love PEAcnic
"In the Afternoon Prosperus came to show Philomena more of the woods which were withered and seemingly desolate growth which caused Philomena dismay. He had decided to take Philomena closer to the center, the heart of Peaville, and wanted to proceed as carefully as possible.
"When they arrived at his favorite meadow in the west, he spread out a blanket and asked Philomena to sit down. To protect her delicate skin from too much sun, he set up a small parasol made from a sunflower for her, then followed with a picnic basket filled to the brim with delicacies like peazza, pears, peaches, pearoccoli, and his favorite drinks - peaña colada and peaccolo!
"Philomena was impressed by his generosity and warmth, her heart always beat a little faster when she saw him since their first meeting - never before had she had such feelings for someone in her life.
"For hours they talked animatedly about various topics - both of them loved music - especially The Peatles was their favorite band! But other musicians, such as The Black Eyes Peas, The Peautiful South, Pearl Jam, Peater Paul & Mary, Peater Frampton, Peate Townsend, Peatula Clark, The Peat Shop Boys, Peater Cetera and The Village Peaple also brought them both into raptures.
Philomena revealed to him that she loved to play for hours on the peano..
"It turned out that both had a great fondness for plants and animals, both loved the buzzing hum of bugs, and the lovely song of peadgeon, peacock and peagull. And there was no more beautiful scent for both of them than that of sweet pea and peatunia.
"They sat until deep into the night and became more and more familiar with each other, when she grew tired, he put his arm around her and he guarded her sleep to protect her from possible attackers. Early in the morning, he discovered that this meadow was also beginning to renew itself again, and green stalks were stretching their heads into the air. Even some flowers had sprung up - all this in just one night! Prosperus picked a few dainty buds and when Philomena woke up, he knelt down in front of her and handed her the bouquet."They are not nearly of your grace and beauty, but please take them as a token of my deep gratitude that you have literally fallen at my feet here, in Peaville!" Philomena blushed as she took the flowers and a tear of true happiness rolled down her green cheek. "I thank you my wonderful, dear Prosperus. I was a stranger - and you took me in..." she breathed - he leaned forward and kissed her forehead and time suddenly seemed to stand still. A whisper, a murmur went through the rotten old trees and bushes, the withered blades of grass straightened their heads and a special magic seemed to spread..."
"The Story of Peaville - 05 - The RoPEAdeo Show
"Later, in the evening, Prosperus invited his Philomena to a RoPEAdeo show in. Rodeo is a kind of folk sport in Peaville - because it takes not only power and strength, but also knowledge and intelligence to tame the wild potato bulls. Here, near the gates of the small kingdom, Peavillians met to have fun, celebrate and cheer on their matadors. RoPEAdeo is a dangerous but also bloodless showdown between cowboy and bull ...
"Prosperus explained all the rules to Philomena and kept close - what was it about her that made him feel so comfortable in her presence? He smelled her pea blossom white hair and also she kept leaning against his strong peanut shoulder. Both enjoyed the evening and cheered on the matadors - ...
"Among all the many friendly Peavillians, however, were a few renegades who watched Prosperus and Philomena suspiciously, even hostilely. They glared hatefully at Philomena, made disparaging remarks in secret, about her green skin, and then ran into hiding to tell their followers of their outrageous observations.
"Prosperus and Philomena noticed none of this - they only had eyes for each other and cooed in love. Never in their life had the two of them felt so alive and happy.... "
"The Story of Peaville - 06 - The PEAvolution Revolutionairies
"A leader for the rebels had been found quickly - it seemed too easy and convenient to blame the foreign green-skinned one for all their own discontent, desolation, anger and pessismism. They gathered, they ranted and they shouted slogans, they painted signs with demands and statements that was a reflection of the brown, desolate forest landscape outside the kingdom.
"'Do you want total revolution, do you want victory over the Monarchpea?' the leader of the pack bellowed into his megaphone, and he unimaginative roared and hooted at him as if he were promising paradise paradisiacal conditions.
"Since they would have no chance whatsoever to enter the kingdom through the main gate and cheat their way past the great dragon guard, they arranged for the next morning to attack Peaville's kingdom at the East Wall."

"The Story of Peaville - 07 - The Attack
"The attackers brought a catapult, demonstrators flanked the mob and some even carried clubs and swords- They were blindly determined to follow the hate and board the kingdom without permission....
"The defenders of the kingdom were on hand- Peaville's shield, even despite the renegades and doubters, was still strong enough to keep the fortress safe like a shimmering golden dome of light. This place was fed by confidence and fond memories, inside it an obelisk of pure energy and warmth of heart and many small treasures with the most diverse origins, the farthest lands like Pearu, Pealippines, places like Peansylvannia, Pearth, Peaterborough and Saint Peatersburg. The fight lasted for hours, the attackers did not want to give up, but finally had to admit defeat. Like any cowardly, backstabbing community, the Revolutionary alliance crumbled to the same dust from which it had risen. The prophecy seemed to be fulfilled - since Philomena was in the land of Peaville, the good energies grew up and strengthened the whole kingdom in all its different structures."
"The Story of Peaville - 08 - The happea Royal Wedding
"After the attackers were successfully beaten into submission, Prosperus sought parley with his parents. He informed them that he believed he had found not only the love of his life, but had also met the magical being named in ancient stories and prophecies as the savior of Peaville - a person of pure heart, wise decision, good nature, inner peace and green skin.... - Philomena.
"His parents were ecstatic that his son brought home so much happiness and welcomed their new daughter-in-law with open arms - all the citizens and inhabitants of the small kingdom rejoiced with the royal family. In honor of Philomena, they raised small flags with peas and from then on the pea became Peaville's new royal favorite plant.
"A few weeks passed and a solemn wedding was held. A large meadow in the east would be chosen, which had already begun to return to old lush green. The trees grew seemingly in slow motion and pink blossoms entwined themselves around the royal arches. The people cheered the wedding couple, the energy and bliss of Peaville was back."
"The Story of Peaville - 09 - The HaPEA - Ending
"After the wedding, Philomena and Prosperus set off on their honeymoon. It was important to Prosperus to reconnect with the original and good values of the country and to re-establish contacts with those countries and regions that had fallen asleep over the years.
"They used their honeymoon to travel through 20 countries - they met many new beings, became friends, they collected impressions, experiences, moments... They were given abundant gifts - not only material gifts, but warmth, open arms, imagination, loving gestures and words.... Likewise, Philomena and Prosperus brought gifts to all these countries - they received small plantlets of a peanut and a pea, as a symbol of peace and deeply grateful attachment to Peaville.
"Philomena wrote down all these encounters ... and when they arrived back home, her book about these lands was bulging - for example, about the wondrous creatures under water in the land of "Paer Thura" or the strange giant cocoons in "Adracunas" ... or the ... but no, that's another story ... :)
"We say goodbye to you and hope you enjoyed the little journey through Peaville. Feel free to come back here any time you feel homesick or wanderlust, if you are looking for peace or conversation, if you want to discover something or relax. "What is /studioDire/ Tabletop?
"Essentially, what is in the /studioDire/ Tabletop - Gamemaster Kit and Player Kit is a skeleton to flesh out. A framework to build on. An empty canvas for players and storytellers to paint a world of their own choosing. I've tried to make it as broad as possible so that no matter what pen and paper roleplaying game one would like to play, whether that's Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, even Vampire the Masquerade or Call of Cthulu, it can be played with these kits and even be adapted for a particular group's homebrew rules instead of being stuck with hardcoded restrictions.
"The way things normally would work is that someone would decide to run a game in one of the commonly available campaigns/worlds that are already out there or even make their own. They would create a story or use a premade one and gather other people to play in this story. The players create characters to represent themselves. Depending on the chosen campaign, one might want to be a dashing half-elf fighter, or an orcish hacker that has cybernetic eyes, or even an otterkin bounty hunter. The one running the game or game master, would then guide the players through the story with text or voice and give them the freedom to make choices that can take the story in unexpected directions.
"While playing such games, whether or not an action a player wishes to take succeeds is often decided by rolling dice. Often a twenty sided dice, but this can change depending on the game being played. Some games even use dice with symbols instead of numbers. So for my Tabletop system, I've included a working virtual version of every dice that I can possibly think up and even included dice that can have custom faces to be used as symbol dice.
"Sometimes the actions players take might lead them in to combat. They might be ambushed by bandits!.Or they're crashing through the walls of a megacorp's arcology and are now squaring off with security guards. Maybe cultists have decided that they would be the perfect sacrifice to their insane god. When there are a lot of players and enemies fighting eachother, it can be hard to keep track of who is where and what they are doing. To solve this, many games will use a battlemat or map board to represent the location and miniatures to represent the players and enemies at the location. Again with my Tabletop system, I've included working virtual counterparts to this to ensure the best possible gaming experience. The game master and players can very easily re-texture the included Cardboard Miniatures to represent themselves and whatever NPCs they want. But for those that want a grander experience, I'm also making 3D miniatures like the Otterkin Hunters, that work with the Gamemaster Kit's Map Board. Every Tabletop miniature comes scripted with a wide variety of functions that do far more than just move it around the board. A mage miniature can be made to glow when it's powering up a spell. A monster that's gone in to a berserker rage can be colored to show this. A player that's been poisoned can have the skull and crossbones symbol hovering over them. Even more is possible but those are just examples, and each group can make their own rules as to what represents what.
"To round out the game system, I've included a number of other items to add more functional aspects to the gameplay. In the Gamemaster Kit is a pack of markers that can be used to draw out squares of shadowy fog on the map board to hide parts of a dungeon map from the players before they explore the area fully. Also included in the Gamemaster Kit is a Graveyard Tray that will catch any miniatures that are removed from the board to make battles less cluttered and smooth the flow of combat. And in both the Gamemaster Kit and Player Kits, I've included a scripted cell phone that allows for people to drop in and out of a private chat channel to keep game text separate from local chat without requiring a group slot. And finally a set of tintable glass marble counters that can be used to represents whatever players want them to.

...I tried coming to a show at Paer Thura, and it was nowhere as good of quality as The Monarchs... Only because I don't think I have my settings refigured out (every time I cammed out to see everyone, a halting stop-motion would occur). Alright, so here's what I found...
"Merry Christmush Sign" is the object part of the prize. And then you get the first piece of the story...
"Spider Story Hunt 1/8
"* Cellar Spider *
"Fragile things should never be underestimated. The giant spider running over the kitchen floor learns this the hard way. It starts with difficulty running. Something is caught on his legs. He tries to pull free, but the cobwebs just tangle more, as though something is throwing down new ones. He doesn't see his death, because it comes with thin legs and a tiny body that would be hard for him to see at the best of times. He does feel the bites.
"The corner nearest the door belongs to the cellar spider. She stays near the floor in the cooler months, when the giant spider season is at its height. Summer is time for the ceiling web, when the flies are more abundant. She's never had a need for cellars, as the cook appreciates her fly-catching services and the other spiders keep their distance. The exception is a smaller cellar spider, who decided to share the web. The new catch will be enough for both of them.
"Another giant spider squeezes under the door and makes a dash towards the corner. The cook drops a cup over him. The cellar spider doesn't approve, but she rarely shares her thoughts. Better to stay still. She doesn't want to give away her location to the next spider.
"The cook opens the door to release the lucky survivor. A strange voice comes from outside. The kitchen has a visitor, but this one is too big for the cellar spider to care."
The second prize is more story...
"Spider Story Hunt 2/8
"* Time Weaver *
"Time weavers had another name in the distant past. The exact name has been forgotten, but it was something about being orange and tiny. This changed when a mathematician took a good look at the webs, realized the spiders counted in eights, and deduced that the webs were clocks.
"Most people believe that time weavers simply record the time around them, but the cook knows the truth. The web creates time and everybody nearby follows this schedule. Web time is not too different to regular time, but it moves at a more respectable pace. Whether this is faster or slower depends on what each individual time weaver believes is respectable.
"This is why a rush of warm air comes through the open door and the visitor is surprised by the chill in the kitchen. Even with the burning stove, cold creeps out of the walls from the snow that hasn't yet fallen for the visitor."
The 3rd prize has a bunch of stuff (including some notes on how to build with all these things, as scripts and sounds are included in each of these!) and more story, of course... :)
This one is called "Tacorat Colours Rain Cloud" and when you click it, it rains rat taco particles!
This one is called "Tacorat Colours Ratbow Cloud." The rainbow spins pictures of rat tacos (to make it look as if they are running, LOL), and when you click it, this also rains rat taco particles! xD
This one is called "Tacorat Shell Rain Cloud" and is much like the first one, but it seems the texture is different.
This one is called "Tacorat Shell Ratbow Cloud" and is much like the second one, except for the cloud texture, again.
And here's more story...
"The cook fills the kettle, because the first step of any solution involves a cup of tea. This sends the false widow scurrying into the crack between the sink and the wall. He's used to the cook, but has never trusted the kettle.
"This is the first spider the visitor notices. The crescent pattern is distinctive and there are stories told, which are almost all lies. The bite is not dangerous and the false widow would rather hide, but the visitor is not concerned about the truth.
"Once the kettle is gone, the spider returns to his web. The disturbances are worth it. The sink is used to clean the devastation from cooking, which attracts flies and provides splashes of water to drink.
"A house fly hits the web. An unexpected treat in the middle of winter, which probably arrived from the visitor's spring. The false widow has a few more months to go before he's mature, so he makes the most of it."
The next prize is more story...
"There are consequences to drinking water splashes from the sink. Sometimes the water contains just enough of the cooking to offer a change of perspective. The truth widow learnt the difference between truth and lies. After a few more drinks, they learnt to rub their legs together to produce a whispering voice. The cook explains all this in great detail to the visitor.
"The visitor isn't paying attention and launches into a long story about things gone wrong.
"The cook says they will do their best to help the visitor.
"The truth widow whispers, 'True.'"
The next prize contains a bunch of stuff too, as well as more building notes (which are a little more in-depth about mesh), and of course story...
This one is called "Orange Dot Basic Staddle Stone (Large)" but there's an identical smaller one also included.
This one is called "Orange Dot Leaning Staddle Stone (Large)" and there is also a smaller, identical one included.
This one is called "Orange Dot Square Staddle Stone (Large)" and yup, you guessed it, a smaller identical one is also included, again! :)

And here's the story piece...
"The giant house spider was small when she took up residence behind the bookshelf. She waits patiently for quieter times to hunt and for potential suitors to survive the cellar spider's web. She doesn't mind that most of them don't make it. This is how she'll know the spiderlings will survive the kitchen.
"She does mind too much moving of books as the cook searches for the solution, especially when the needed book was left in the other room."
The next prize is more story...
"Most spiders make more spiders through the old-fashioned method of eggs. The spidermaker is much more direct. The bite causes a slight stinging sensation, headaches, and an almost certain chance of becoming a spider. Some will become spidermakers, but others will take on forms closer to their true nature.
"It's rumoured that the cellar spider was an assassin sent after the cook, but neither the spidermaker or the cellar spider will speak on the subject. What is certain is that visitors don't always have good intentions. The spidermaker has suspicions when the new visitor starts to rummage through the cupboards."
The next prize is also more story...
"The jumping spider can see the Moon on clear nights. She can also see the secrets of the cupboard. It's like staring at the Moon, only smaller, and yet bigger, and she doesn't know enough to explain it any better than that. She doesn't know how long she's been in this cupboard, but she's sure it'll make sense eventually.
"A hand brushes by her on the way to the secrets. She whirls around to see two watery eyes. She jumps. The visitor screams and flails. The cook reappears and sees the open cupboard.
"The visitor claims to have knocked the door accidentally.
"'False,' whispers the truth widow.
"The visitor is paying attention this time and backs away from the voice."
The final prize is the best, with a bunch more stuff (including more build notes on mesh and particles)...
This one is called "Festive Glitter Mushroom (Button)" and emits particles when clicked.
This one is called "Festive Glitter Mushroom (Flare)" and also emits particles when clicked.
This one is called "Festive Glitter Mushroom (Lean)" which emits particles when clicked too.
This one also emits particles when clicked and is called "Festive Glitter Mushroom (Round)."
This last one is called "Festive Glitter Mushroom (Tall)" and yup, you guessed it, it also emits particles when clicked!
And here's the ending of the story...
Every facet of the crystal spider tells a different story. This spider is often lost in dreams of reflection and light. When she does pay attention to the world around her, she looks through her own legs to magnify it and reveal its secrets. She sees that the edge of the kitchen exists in every season, not just winter and spring. She knows that the visiting giant spiders come from a past autumn. She understands the nature of the ingredients used by the cook.
"The crystal spider also looks through her legs at the cellar spider, but what's going on doesn't require magnification. The cellar spider is still grumpy that the crystal spider didn't fall a little more to the left, because those crystals look tasty. This emanates so strongly that even the giant spiders have been avoiding the corner.
"The light shifts and the stories change. The crystal spider goes back to her usual dreams of having two legs and falling backwards. Each dream starts and ends with a slight stinging sensation."
