Issue With EVO 2019 Recipe Conversion = HUGE L$ Loss

Originally, this was a notecard made for sharing in SL.

Now it's here in my fucking blog for everyone to see because of accountability...

There was supposed to be an EVO event today with a Q&A session where unfortunately none of the admins showed... I questioned it in nearby chat to the innocent event host, and the EVO group... KhrysT then postponed it to an hour later... Then he said he didn't feel well and postponed it to the next day... So fine...

I'm a bit out of patience with everything I have experienced from the business end of EVO (at least from KhrysT's unprofessional mannerisms on the whole of 2 years)... So here it is...

BTW, I have been muted in group chat, and breeders have been intimidated.

For as much money as I have spent on EVO, I deserve respect.

Any customer deserves respect.

I just found out about all this today.

I thought it was just "usual" updates.  But things have slowly snowballed into more and more peculiar things.  HUBs are gone and very dedicated people have given away or sold all their EVO things and LEFT.  I couldn't get a recipe or pearl box to generate for a few months now (when they do, even if your fairies are deco).  The miscommunication and back and forth between trying to update the Halloween City took almost a month (I know some ppl who have had the same Ysra/City for years because they like the style, with no complaints).  Tickets no longer get forwarded to your email, so you can "conveniently" lose track if they think you are stupid and just close the ticket without you knowing.  Some shit about fairies not being in eSpheres for 8 months, despite complaints (thank gawd I never got into that part of EVO too).  And now, out of nowhere, old recipes will become null and void after 12APR19.

If you are involved in EVO and wondering WTF is going on... you are entitled to know what you are investing (or possibly dumping) your money into.

This is the math I have just done to figure out what it will cost me as a store owner that sells/supports EVO breedables, to do all these recipes myself (instead of selling the actual recipes) for any profit whatsoever, before the 2019 recipe conversion deadline (where all recipes from before 2019 will be null and void as of 12APR19, according to EVO administrator, KhrysT Lords (khryst.neox)).

I've been informed on the down low that the conversion is happening because of copyright and a couple EVO administrators/creators taking their creative integrity to separate ventures.

I've been playing since about a couple months before October of 2017...

SO THIS FINAL TOTAL OF MY COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSS IS L$234,992.  This is about $905-942 USD 26MAR19.  This is the cost of a vehicle or rent in RL.  This is about the cost of 1,958 months (163 years!) of tier for my whole Zamargad sim (that I miss very, very much).  ...This is insane and ludicrous, to say the least.

Now, don't get me wrong, I have had a LOT of fun at the events, and with everyone in chat.  All the breeders are phenomenally nice and outstanding people!  But now we must ask ourselves what the cost of this friendliness and support is actually worth, especially under these circumstances.

I am sure you will all be very interested to see how the new administrators of EVO will address this issue.  It will give you an understanding of the new integrity, customer service rapport, and business professionalism going forward... Which will most likely be the leading factor in motivation for continuing/future breeders/store owners, as to whether or not they support EVO in their product line.

...So you want to be a dick, KhrysT?

It seems I'm going to lose everything anyway (don't worry, we'll just add that to the total *scoffs*).  This road of power and abuse is all too familiar and I am sick of that shit.  

I am also really tired of having to kiss your ass to get simple questions answered in a very convoluted, confusing/omitting, and intimidating way.

Negative reinforcement does not make me have the reaction you'd like.

Abuse makes me very vocal.  

I am not a coward.

You will be held accountable for your footprint on ppl's souls.

And at least maybe this way some positive things will likely occur:

1) I can save people from wasting their money into an obvious, sinking ship
...Rita (who has prolly been muted in the EVO group as well) is VERY nice, & BTW, she makes Witches now - you should go check those out!

2) I can influence you to change things for the better regarding your customer service skills

3) Maybe then EVO will float and become something better than a sinking ship, so I will have done something for the ultimate and greater good by sharing

[20:14] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (bluevioletvixen.lorefield): You are correct.  You are very quiet, and never offered to be friends (which is completely ok), so/but I then assumed all the business was done on KrysT's part.  I have also had his same gruff interactions with other CSRs, I was honestly afraid to take another chance of upsetting yet another CSR by "bothering" you (especially after having dumped so much $ into this).  ...Okay, even if we cut that total loss in half (for whatever factors, market fluctuation, etc.), it's still pretty hefty.  Yes, you can manipulate it and say those recipes were free... but really they weren't... They came from my purchase of the buildings... And why would I have done that, if I wasn't going to get anything out of it?  It would be one thing if you were selling clothing, but these are breedables.  This kind of reminds me of false advertising and a bit of the bait and switch, unintentional or not.  There ought to be a clause in any documentation EVO breeders get with all of your products, that EVO may change terms and conditions at any time for any reason and we would not hold you liable... So in other words, don't expect anything by buying EVO, other than for it to look pretty.  But then again, that wouldn't make you guys very much $, would it?  A CATWA head is L$5k.  Maitreya body a bit more... but not L$40k.  That's A LOT to spend for something to just look pretty in the end.  I'm honestly very disappointed.

[20:37] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (bluevioletvixen.lorefield): If you wanted to actually make this right, and you are committed 200%, then you would offer some type of loss compensation for the old recipes (that really worked fine, BTW).  KhrysT offered to replace up to 5 relics... Uhm... that's nice, but it's a mere drop in the bucket, really.  More like a drop in the well.  It's not just me who feels this way.  It's your longer more dedicated customers too.  You have really hit us below the belt here under the guise of "upgrades" and "improvements."  ...Maybe improvements for you, but not for us.  You forgot about the most important people, your clients (not customers, there's a difference).  And for KhrsT to eject me when I tried to ask about this, just goes to show your clients that what we think doesn't actually matter.  "Do as we say or else you lose your investment."  ...What a wonderful lasting impression to anyone actually involved in the breedable here.  Disrespectful.  Has motivation by fear ever worked in government, BTW?  Think about that.

[21:15] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (bluevioletvixen.lorefield): I would agree with you that these changes will help the EVO second market grow via buying and selling collectibles & faes to other & new users.  I understand things change or evolve.  I would have been on board with you on that, had it simply been explained to me by someone trustworthy, in charge, patient, and (forgive me) can type coherent English so I'm not confused (and it doesn't cause more frustration from the admin) ...from the get-go.  The way this was done seems very, like, EVO saying "We don't trust our clients, let's give as little information as possible, under the guise of unexplainable improvements."  When if it was brought out onto the table, we would have more reassurance that everything would eventually be okay.  ...And perhaps more notice would have been appropriate too.  Or then we could have rationally talked about possible incentives/reparations productively, as a community, instead of this, that has been done now... where anyone who questions authority gets booted.  ...I am now officially EVO's scapegoat... KrysT blames my pointing out this $ loss knowledge to the fact that recipes will no longer be XFR (when these plans were most likely set in motion long before I said anything).  There's a difference between treating clientele like sheep or cows, and making them a part of your family... to which, the events had led me to believe in the better.  And I'm no Katniss Everdeen here, as there are LOTS of old-timers who are simply done with EVO now.  Does EVO simply say, "This is what's happening, like it or not," or does EVO say, "We need to change for the better, what does our community need?"

To make a ticket with EVO, last we heard, you will need to go to them inworld to register for their website login information.  This SLURL will be in their group information, and at this point in time, it reads as: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/REMOOD%20UNITED/94/211/24  You will need to touch the "EVO*Systems - Registry Ledger Ver.2018" object (funny that their equipment can be older than 2019, but not a breeder's) and follow the procedure for what happens next.

From there, you will need to click "EVO Ticket Support" and we suggest filling out the following as such...

"Subject" can be "EVO Product Not Working"

"Message" can be filled in with details as to what product you have, what happens when you try to use it, and anything else pertinent.  You may also take screen-shots by using the "PRTSC" button on your PC (might be different for different computers, you may need to Google how to do this), then opening up your "Paint" application, then holding down the "CTRL" + "v" keys to paste your screen-shot into Paint.  Save this picture.  Then you may upload it to a picture hosting site, one we have found for free is http://freeimagehosting.net/ You can choose your file and upload the image.  You will get an HTML code generated.  You will want to look for the part of the code that says "<img src=" and copy that picture's link to put it into this ticket.  It may look something like this:  https://i.imgur.com/wTIMlYo.jpg

"Department" should be "MC Fairies, Buildings & Games."

"Product Name" will be the name of the product you get by right-clicking on it inworld, & selecting "Edit."  The "Name" will be in the build window next to "Name:."  You may highlight the text in the "Name:" portion, right-click it, and select "Copy."  You may then go back to the EVO website and right-click the fill-in spot for "Product Name" and select "Paste" to fill it in.

"Product Version" will usually be listed in the name, as discussed in the above paragraph.

"PET ID Code" usually applies to fairies, and is usually listed in the "Name:" portion of the build/edit window, as discussed above, if not in the "Description:" part of the build/edit window.

My Second Life name is ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (BlueVioletVixen.Lorefield) and this is my main avatar and only avatar I have on this account.  In RL, I am well over the legal age to vote/smoke and drink... anything beyond that is irrelevant!

I am complex but thoughtful.  If you are too, I don't think we'll ever be bored, LOL.  Now, I realize that sometimes "less is more," and that, "sometimes it's better to stay quiet and let them think you're smart, rather than to open your mouth and spoil it all," LOL ...but I've decided that in the interest of playing fair, and to accommodate all the different adoption questionnaires in this post, I'm going to lay everything out for you.  Hopefully, I can get to know you just the same!


...A couple of things that I need to request:

1) That you please read this page!  ...I took the time to put it together, and if you want to be involved in my life in a rather meaningful way, you should show it by having read this and considered things carefully.  Making friends is cool, but to be my parent, I understandably require a little more.  I'm looking for something more "serious/deep" than "fun/whatever" as a basis for this relationship.

...Preliminary...

Although it says I was in SL for close to 11 years, please subtract 5 from it... I briefly left for that duration because when I first came to SL, I didn't find what I was looking for.  Since I came back in about 2013, I have had all kinds of wonderful adventures and have met many fabulous people!  I have no current plans to leave, as in fact, I have my own sim, and have found what I have been looking for (mostly!).  I have been a part of the family community for a couple of years now.

I like to refer to myself as a dark fae or succubus (hopefully, you have perved my profile by now and have found some fun information in the Picks section)!  Although I like the freedom and option to be able to shape-shift whenever, you'll truly find me mostly as a dark fae/succubus.  More information about what I am like used to be seen by my posts on the ASNers website, too (I tried the only thing left, AvatarBook, but they do not embrace the first amendment)  ...So, at any rate, you can tell that I'm loyal and dedicated to my passions ... and at least a bit old enough to be set in some ways, LOL.

I am online all the time, barring a region restart.  Occasionally real life steals me.  I am in the SLT/Pacific time-zone, however, in RL, I work retail, during the graveyard shift on the weekends (so, times I am available in SL may get confusing, but I will try to explain).  This is usually how it goes (it just depends on whether the freight is heavier on Friday or Saturday, and what day they need me most):

• On Thursdays (the night before the work week begins ...sometimes fondly referred to as "the last supper," LOL), I am usually online later (anywhere from about 1PM to about 8AM on into Friday mornings).

• Friday evenings, I can briefly check for things from about 7PM-9PM.

• Saturdays, you can catch me in the mornings from about 7:30AM until no later than noon (Sundays can be the same, unless I'm off on that day).

• Sundays/Mondays (depending on whatever the last day of the work week is), I am online about 7:30AM until whenever I fall asleep.

• Sometimes on Mondays/Tuesdays (depending on whatever day I am finally off from the work week), I do the catch-up sleep in RL, and you may not find me in SL for a day or so (yes, manual labor is tiring, but very rewarding, hope you can understand ...I put all my heart and soul into everything I undertake, and it has always paid off).

• Sometimes I will need days during the week to run errands and try to be a productive member of society ...sorry, that's just how it is!  These days are open, depending on how I slept or what activities have occurred.

...This schedule isn't set in stone, but it's a good guideline!

When I am AFK in SL, I would be happy to converse with you by other means like Discord (MajikVixen#7616), Skype, Kik, or WhatsApp (you can find me as "MajikVixen" on any of those).  You can also always leave an inworld message for me...  Notecards are preferred, but I generally have an away message for instant messages (and they do forward to my e-mail ... I just might not notice them right away).  :p

My primary language is English and Google Translate.  I do voice, and type (I find myself better spoken in written word than voice, however, but it's nice to have the option to do both).  Last time I had my typing speed checked, was over 20 years ago, and it was 50WPM ...it might be faster now, in case that matters to you.

I do not baby talk, but I may occasionally say things in a cute way, like, "Awwes, thank yous so much!" or, "I good, how's you?"

I do understand how a trial works...  We have a certain amount of time to decide whether or not we are a good fit for each other (+ everyone involved) ... And at some point, at/before the end of that time period (usually about a week or 2 weeks), we can either part ways gracefully and respectfully, or we can continue on into adoption and become a family forever.  :)

As to what I am looking for...

A close relationship with 2 parents would be nice, but not required.  I am absolutely okay with same-sex parents.  I absolutely prefer at least a Mom, but ultimately I am up for anyone to care about me and love me as any parent should.

As far as siblings go, one or two might be fine... but I advocate a healthy family bond, without any issues of jealousy on all parts.  A small family is ideal, but an emotionally healthy large one is also great (I have yet to experience that)!

The important qualities I expect from my new family, are for them to be nurturing, supportive, loving, caring, knowledgeable, understanding, empathetic, respectful, and honest.  My first SL Mom was very strong, experienced, confident, and had great advice.  It would be great to be involved with someone like that again (I might just add here, that like, fuck it, I need a therapist at times, LOL!).  In return, to the best of my ability, I will absolutely 100% reciprocate.

I expect a healthy family relationship (like no weird sex stuff or anything between us or siblings, that's a deal breaker, as in, all bets are off)!

I do not mind if you have alts.

Communication by voice or typing is great.

Emotional support would be extremely valuable to me.  It would be very lovely to have someone "get" and understand me.  I want to feel validated, but I do understand there are still a few things in life I have yet to learn.  Can you teach me to be more of a beautiful being?

I'm not really a fan of discipline.  It kind of makes me want to do exactly what you DON'T want me to do.  I'm kind of a rebel brat like that, sorry (not really, tho, LOL), I can't help it!  :p  :)  I'm more like a cat than a dog in that way, whereas, I respond better to positive reinforcement than negative reinforcement.

I need someone to help me take charge of my life and not be a bitch/dick about it.  I'd like to respect you from love, not fear.  I want to admire you and try to emulate your delightful ways, out of adoration.  The world can always use more love.  Please show me the way and restore my faith.

...Truth be told, I just recently accepted the fact that my RL parents are narcissists, and it has affected even such things as my subconscious choices for other relationships.  It's very painful, and it hurts so much to feel so alone and to have your self-esteem be gnawed at by such important influences.  I really would like an emotionally intimate relationship with someone else of value (that is not toxic), so that I have some support.

I've had eons of multiple therapies.  I'm far from perfect, but one thing I can tell you is that I'm genuine, definitely not a bully, and that love is the answer.  If you have it in you, I would love to honor you by making you my Mom &/or Dad.

As for family role-play...

"...I was broken at age 16, I have lost count of how many moons have passed since then, but it feels like decades..."  In SL, my favorite thing is that I get to be who I really want to be, at a safe enough distance to continually work on improving the RL me.  To me, RL & SL are one and the same, even though it's sometimes painful and I try to separate them (and fail).  They balance each other, and make me feel complete.

My husband, Samael, suffers from a constant attack of RL, so you may not see him much.  But he mostly comes online when I am on, as he lives with me in RL.

We do have a teenage son, Edward (Glowball) Von Muilliae, who is roleplayed by Meepers (fffangirl).  Meepers is a very avid role-player and openly admits to many alts (in fact, that part of the family keeps expanding with every new burst of creativity she gets)!  Eddy is a fire angel (he often hides his wings to appear human, but can't help some... effects).  His typist, Meepers, is in US Mountain Time.  She had the Damcylinnae land (hosted on the Tegea Bay region), which is very focused on RP, but now she rents a portion of Zamargad.  ...In the next section, I delve a bit deeper into who and what Eddy is all about.  ♥  -You adopt me, you adopt my son Eddy too!  :)  He has been looking forward to having [a] grandparent/s for a VERY long time!

As of 26MAY19 (and prolly before, according to the universe :) ), I do have a sister, Lady Gwendolynn DeDannan (tearsfromthemoon), that I call "Gwennie."  It is true that we happened to meet in FC & continued on to build our relationship out of love and trust.  Her and her husband, Hadrien, requested and got the sim north of mine, Feldspath Nacre (that they have some awesome plans for).  Gwennie has 2 very wonderful blogs as well, that I really encourage you to look thru, as she's a very spiritual, wonderfully uplifting, and knowledgable sweetheart!  The Musings of Lady Gwendolynn & Faerie Godmother Designs (and if you do some sleuthing on those pages, I'm sure you'll be able to connect up with her/pages on FB).  ...I plan on posting an entry very soon about more details and services that Gwennie has offered to the public (and I am just in awe over), so please check back here soon for a linky-link!  :)



...I did have grandparents at one point, they were Ƥɨɛʀƈɛ Napier (prestonredden) and кяίѕтєи (kristen.looby), however, they are no longer together.  They ended up being parents to my original SL Mom, and wanted to stay a family when things didn't work out... but I haven't seen them log on in quite a long while, so I think it's safe to say we're all just friends now.


My original SL Mom was Pixiedust Love Darling (pixiedust.xia).  I think she may have blocked me, but if I could say something to her now, it would be:

However, I believe her account is in the process of being deleted?  And I haven't seen her for a very, very long time, not even on Discord.  I know that her RL family is very proud of her, and as far as I'm concerned, she defines love.  She made this Pick for me:

Edward was born five months early, leaving one lung rather undeveloped, as well as a weak bone structure.  But Edward makes the most of it.

He was born with a mental disorder, which affects his focus, and comprehension.  He's got his smarts, it just takes him a little while to figure things out.

When he's got nothing better to do, he likes to loiter around, and watch people.  He often makes silly comments, dresses rather... differently.  And he seems the type to cause trouble, but he'd actually be one to fight trouble.  He has this unmistakable smirk...

Edward was born to a royal family on planet Dancylinnia.  He was the sole survivor of a tragic event that destroyed his home and his family.  Picked up by authorities when he was found on this planet, he kept his wings hidden.  At first, he didn't know what they wanted of him.

Soon enough, he found himself in the loving arms of Lilith and Samael.

Edward has musical talent he displays on one of his few reminders of home- a handheld harp.  He loves shiny things and has a big heart. He also likes to tinker with mechanical things!  Any gearhead grandparents may see that as a great bonding opportunity!

Unfortunately, his health has never been so great, and his bones break with ease.  However, despite this, he's a calm child and would be great in an older family or with young kids.  Edward doesn't say much unless he's got something to say, and having been raised a prince, has great manners.

He loves rock music and even tends to dress like some sort of 80's glam-rocker... Not to the point of losing his modesty, though!

The perfect day that I would like to spend with my family...

Consists of all kinds of things!  I'm not entirely sure what a perfect day is.  It may consist of museums, shows, exploring, gaming, talking, building, etc.  But mainly, the perfect day would involve YOU!  I would very much like someone to talk with and be a part of things going on!  :)

A typical day may go something along these lines...

I wake up and relog.  I do some daily chores.  While I'm doing them, I say hello to you (or you may have said hello to me first).  We talk about what's going on, what the hopes are for the day, etc.  We help each other achieve these daily goals with great feedback.  We may visit for a while.  Perhaps there's a special event going on that we enjoy together?  Perhaps there's gaming and conversating?  Perhaps there's shopping?  Perhaps we just stand around and talk?

...LOL, whatever is clever!  I'm pretty easy going.

Then we maybe go our separate ways and continue the conversation throughout the day.  When one of us gets tired, we say goodnight, and leave our AFK lines of communication open (as RL goes on), or we just do the same kind of routine the next day, and so on and so forth.

I understand that there cannot be excitement every day.  Sometimes there is downtime and alone time.  I am totally cool with that.  The important thing is that we know who we are, we love each other, and we are family.  :)

How I like to spend my SL time and the things I enjoy doing...
I like writing, I used to write for the Second Life Enquirer and the Second Life Newser.  Now I just seem to write in this blog, since ASNers is gone.

I am still relatively new to Maitreya and CATWA.  I enjoy putting together outfits and tinkering with the developer kits (yes, I did my own skin!).  My wings are Spider's Bento ones, and with the help of the Builder's Brewery, I managed to add the moving color changing lightning script.  They also helped me get my Bento tail to cycle the movements I desired, correctly.  ...But that's just me, as long as you are happy with who you are, then we'll get along just fine!  Both Samael and Eddy are happy being "just regular, basic" avatars.  ...And some of the pictures featured in this post might be a little outdated, but they're still pretty worthwhile (you can also click on any of them to see them in full size ...Or just meet me in person)!  :)

I am very dedicated to breedables (I've done PlantPets, KittyCatS!, Amaretto Horses, and EVO Fairies so far).  These things require "dailies."  For instance, I must catalog all the horse bundles for future breeding or sales, and sometimes that piles up if I don't get a chance to do that every day.  This normally takes about a 1/2 hour ...not too long anymore, thankfully!

Playing games is also a favorite past-time of mine, in fact, I am big into them, to try and make a little extra L$.  I have a nice rank in Linden Gold Hunt's Fish Hunt and will one day be able to sell a bunch of red Shubbies (& L$!).  Treasure Quest made us a couple of important Mega Coins.  I helped Sofistik write the TOS for Lindo and plan to continue helping him with writing things for his games.  Although, Alienum is what I seem to be doing the most (thanks to my good friend, Jenni Witherspoon), as it seems to be the most profitable.

Or I also play other games like Skippo, Greedy, Cards Against Humanity, and am open to learning all kinds of others).  My friend and artist, DD, hosts a game night every Saturday at Limbo, and I will usually try to go to that.  Also, I have just picked up an old DOS game from my childhood, "Enchanted Castle" (by Michael R. Wilk), which is very descriptive and loads of fun!  -Maybe you would like to play it together while we voice or something?  :)

Hunts, dances, concerts, contests, or rituals (Wiccan, Druid, etc. type ceremonies) are great too (I actually miss those).  I am good friends with Beth Odets and Daallee (of The Vinnie Show), as those are my favorite SL musicians!

Exploring is also fun and filled with many opportunities, although, I'd like to be mostly be found in the fantasy places.  I absolutely L♥VE events like Fantasy Faire and Townies!

As for my future expectations in SL?  I don't know.  I tend to go wherever the wind blows me.  Creativity has a spark, and there is no telling where that could lead.  ...Just when it comes, you have to give into it, or you may have missed out on that opportunity entirely!  That's part of the fun of SL or RL, you know?  :)

...Don't worry, I have plenty of time to spend with family.  We can spend as much time together as we want to!  :)



More things about me...

The reason why I have chosen to find a new family is that RL sometimes lacks many things for me, so I come to SL to make myself whole.  Hopefully, I can fill some voids for you as well!

I have a protagonist personality (ENFJ-T): 51% extroverted (versus introverted), 73% intuitive (versus observant), 54% feeling (versus thinking), 53% judging (versus prospecting), and 67% turbulent (versus assertive).

How I would like to communicate a problem or concern with my new family, is first, with time for careful consideration.  After having done so, I would explain what is going on, as gently and as thoughtfully as I could.  Then I would work with you on a logical solution so that we're both okay again, and it hopefully makes our relationship bond better than before.  I hope you would consider doing the same.  I prefer a personable, honest, and thoughtful approach.

Now, in RL, I do have some challenges that I try to work around (as I'm sure we all do).  I have a cognitive disability.  I am very intelligent, but because of some disassociation I developed while growing up, my memory isn't so great.  I am working on that.  Please bear with me if you have to tell me something more than once or twice, or if I write it down.  I promise I am not being forgetful to be mean, and yes, I *DO* care (perhaps a bit too much, LOL)!  Repetition will eventually make things stick, with me.  I will be slow to get to know you (and everyone else, if applicable), but once you are in my heart, there you will stay.

I would describe myself as creative, artistic, intelligent, a writer, funny, a breeder, Neo-Christian(?) (was a Wiccan bordering Atheist, now I'm just confused ...I think all Gods are the same, it just depends on what service provider you use, LOL), upfront, honest, loving, loyal, respectful, polite, Goth, hippy, a dark fae or succubus, outcast, independent/free/critical thinker, inner nerd, definitely too hard on myself at times, but laid back, emotional at times, but constantly filling the voids with all kinds of productive outlets, hopeful ...and definitely in need of you!

As for my favorite subjects to talk about with friends...?  I'm not really sure.  I guess it depends on what friend I am talking to, what I know we already have in common, and their personality.  I have a couple of strategies... One is to sort of just say what's on my mind and see if they have anything interesting to add ... Or perhaps I'll just ask them what's going on with them and see if I have any relative stories from my POV to add.  I tend to ask open-ended questions and settle in for a nice little chat.  Mainly, I try to be helpful and positive, because I know I would like that from someone in return.

I try to be liked by everyone, I really do (maybe I'm a try-hard?  LOL  ...And try hard not to look like a try-hard -LOL even more).  I realize there will always be ppl who will never like me no matter what I do, that is just one of the unfortunate downfalls of human nature.  It only drives me nuts when it seems unwarranted, and ppl do not think I'm worth enough of anything to even tell me WHY they hate me, or to even be open enough to COMMUNICATE so we can work on fixing it!  ...To be indifferent or to invalidate ANY person, is one of the ugliest flaws of humanity that I unfortunately experience and witness all the time.  It truly must end if we are to be leaders of any kind or transcend.  ...We do. We do have the right to say no, and the right to ask for time.  But we do not have the right to deny sentience.  Being intentionally cruel is not an admirable trait.

All in all, I am tenacious.  I know I like to say I hate ppl, but really, I think that's just to throw them off the scent of how much I do indeed care.  I will not go down without a fight, and I will go down with integrity and honor all the way.

But I also know that the only constant, is change itself.  No one can ever be perfect.  It is impossible.  Unless we are dead, we are constantly learning, evolving, and improving.  The person you knew 10 years ago, or even a month ago, may not be the same as you last remembered them.  This is why grudges, bans, prejudice, and discrimination are stupid and a waste of time.  This is why it is stupid to say there is only one right way or answer, without having looked at all facets.  This is why communication, experience, education, and empathy are important.  There is a bigger picture here.  Do you also see it?  I can't be the only one.  There is a greater good.  And everything is possible.  Especially in SL.

You don't have to agree with me, but I extremely dislike it when things happen to people I love, that are unjust or unfair.  In fact, it drives me *SO* nuts, that I will go out of my way to make sure everyone knows how ludicrous it is, so others won't fall prey to the same trap, or support something that takes advantage of good and honest ppl.  ...Don't get me wrong... I will sit on it for a while before I start a war.  I will mull it over with close ppl I trust.  I will ruminate on the many possibilities and thoroughly contemplate if something is worth the cost.  ...If in the end, I go down again as a hero, then I don't care if those in power influence me being known as a "black sheep" until after my death, because that "outcast cherry" has been popped a LONG time ago!  XD  ...The ppl I actually care to associate with, are intelligent enough to appreciate/endorse critical thinking, and can see through the smoke and mirrors of those who are corrupt.  And you know... sometimes the only way to get the rotten to understand what's actually going on and possibly change for the better, is to simply speak their language.  :p

As for my favorite influential artists?  Hmm.  I like all the greats, like Salvador Dali, Georgia O'Keefe, and Andy Warhall.  But I also like more modern artists, like Mark Ryden, Josephine Wall, Joseph Vargo, and Amy Brown.

My favorite color is obviously blue-violet, heehee (a purple that almost looks blue)!

My totem spirit is a bat.  Saw a bat shortly after a spell I did, about 15 years ago, which confirmed the bats' acceptance of me.  I like how they fly (are free, ethereal spirits), huddle together (like all families should) upside down (okay, so they're "grounded" a little differently, LOL), and use their keen radar sense to find what they are looking for --I feel like that represents me to a tee!  :)

The style I most identify with is Goth.  But I also enjoy the kind of stuff you could find at a vintage shop (I think they call it Bohemian), like a 1960's kind of style.

I am allergic to latex and mean/snobby people, LOL!

I like all kinds of music, from Jazz to EBM/EDM.  My favorite band is Rasputina.  I will be mostly found playing Radio Paradise on iTunes.  :)

My favorite movie is "Beetlejuice" (I can quote every line from it, LOL).  But there are many others that I love too... Anything from artsy/fun flicks like The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and The Peaceful Warrior ... To poignant ones like GATTACA, The Devil's Advocate, Requiem For A Dream, The Last Unicorn, A Clockwork Orange, and Kill Bill (1 & 2) ... And then, of course, there are the ones I'm proud of having collected, like Return To Oz, Red Dragon, Ghost World, and Trainspotting.

I like shows like "Roseanne," "Rick and Morty," "Bob's Burger's," "Botched," and "Snapped" ... If I can't find anything good on, I mostly put on old classic TV shows like "Three's Company," "Maude," "All In The Family," "I Love Lucy," or "Father Knows Best" ... but since I changed my cable programming to try and save a little bit of $, it's mostly Law & Order: SVU or Dr. Phil on in the background.

I have not read a book I truly love.  For argument's sake, Clive Barker's "The Thief of Always" is my favorite book.  A horror writer's attempt at a children's book.  Really cute.  ...Stephen King, meh.  ...But I have tried.  I've read some classics.  Only thing notable is that Steinbeck's "Of Mice And Men" actually made me cry.  ...I have read for self-help.  I like "The Tao of Pooh" + "The Te of Piglet" by Benjamin Hoff.  I also liked "The Secret" (but really the video was much better).  I have read Elizabeth Gilbert's "Eat, Pray, Love."  ...I have read books from movies or shows, where the book was NOT better, like "Wicked," "The Ice Storm," and "Orange Is The New Black."  ...I do like "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho.  ...But I have not found a book that truly defines me.  I am not satisfied.  The escape is nice... but it would be even nicer to find the greatest escape that I'd want to read over and over and over again and again.  Like, "The world is being shitty again?  Well, fuck this, I'll just go read the greatest book ever written.  ...Bye!"  ;)

Although I have a Letters, Arts, & Sciences / Liberal Arts & Sciences AA that I'm 4 classes away from achieving (and am burnt out on), I am more interested in going to school to become an auto mechanic because of my "RL daughter."  ...Education is the one thing that no one can take away from you!

I'm pretty self-sufficient, I really am just missing the family aspect of SL.  I need somewhere to belong to, and someone to care.

Value doesn't have a monetary price, it has a meaningful depth.

Live in the now, but do not brand relationships with "what have you done for me today?"

Generally, I don't buy gifts out of the obligation of a holiday, instead, I try to buy gifts as I come across things that remind me of the people in my life that I love.  ...If a holiday happens to come up where I also get to celebrate with the giftee, it's gravy!  :)

...I would rather...
Lose all the pictures I've ever taken than all my money and valuables... because I know that somewhere out there, somehow, Google as a backup of all my pictures!  :D

I would rather be 20 minutes early, than 10 minutes late.

I would rather give up bathing for a month, than give up the internet!  I would also rather live without A/C and heating than without the internet!

I would rather get away with something horrible I did (and live with the fear of always getting caught), than go to jail for 4 years for something I didn't do!

I would rather my shirts always be two sizes too big than one size too small.

I would rather live my entire life in a virtual reality where all my wishes are granted than in the real world.

I would rather be alone for the rest of my life than surrounded by annoying people.

Since I mainly only like the California roll (and I've been told that's not technically sushi), I think I'd rather have unlimited tacos for the rest of my life than sushi.

I finally earned the perfect job, but then after 4 years, my company reconstructed for the typical reasons like improvement and competition... I would rather work in an honored position for more money, than to get a shitty schedule and paid less money to do what I love.  ...And now it has paid off.  They've seen how good I was at what I did, that their business model change wasn't working, and now I am honored to go back to doing what I love.  :)
