Well, this year, we were hit with a pandemic *sprinkles in some fantastic George Carlin words to spice up that notion* ...And I'm one of those frontline essential grocery store workers...
I really wanted to give you everything, and aim for the A+ grade on this project (as I normally do), and have this finished at least before the faire was 1/2 done (so this could help you), but it was really just a matter of triage with the things that already/normally give me grief in RL + all the extra BS we're forced to endure at this particular time. So obviously, something gave, and all I have is an unfinished project to show to you ...But rather than just scrap everything, I will at least share with you my very unfinished adventure of Fantasy Faire 2020... And hopefully, you might come to the conclusion that if just 1/2 of FF is THIS breathtaking, then surely the whole thing was too powerful because it would simply make you die of orgasmic fantasy bliss!!! ;) :DDD
I am making this entry after the fact... So I won't be able to edit my notes as much as I'd like (yay, you get to see them in the more raw format and therefore peer directly inside my brain), or fact-check any other unintentional screw-ups (like FF SLURLs that're already gone to the next-year abyss) that the fairies may have helped my excited fingers type while they were fucking on my keyboard during all this ...But I *DO* have a shit ton of pix (raw -again- and only resized to fit in this entry) & information that we can all joyfully reminisce on. :) ...BTW, for more matter of fact-ness, I highly recommend that you please check out ---> The SL Newser's articles on FF, thanks!
Okay, without any further disclaimer ado, let's finally fucking-A do this shit...! \m/

...Unfortunately, I never got to follow thru on the first important note I made to myself:
May wish to go back thru Zodiac and recapture everybody, since you're doing everydamnedbody
Oh, well. I did have the best of intentions...
This year, I'm going to overpack this entry by trying to capture at least one thing from each shop that I thought was the best example of what Fantasy Faire is all about. I'll put inworld links in here on where to buy stuff @ FF, and put links to MP shops (if applicable), but ultimately, it's up to you if you want to explore a creator's inworld shop to look for the best price. I just don't think I have the time to do all that. Look at their profile links I will also put in here, and that may help you find their shops! ;)
All FF SLURLS will take you to a safe place where you shouldn't be in another's way, while you can wait for possible lag to dissipate.
We'll just continue on and I'll put whatever informative creator profile links + MP links in here that I can, with each picture...
Fuck being a well-dressed fantasy avatar, my laptop's like a decade old, seriously! This is all about lag and complexity (and sorry about my graphics being turned all the way down in pix too, but you know what? --Fuck you, go visit the faire, yourself! XD Bwahaha!)...
...Even tho, now it's more like April 23rd to May 10th is just simply NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR THIS VAST OF AN EVENT!!! :p
Yeah, in my attempts to do Graham Dartmouth's Blender Bender mesh classes, I learned all about how when you need to experience things in an otherwise very crowded environment, you need to be like 0 complexity (which is impossible, BTW, even wearing nothing but alphas). ...But this isn't bad for my super-de-duper lowest lag outfit! ;)
...'Cause, see, I knew this awesome shit would be busy as fuck (especially with everyone being on their computers right meow ...stupid fucking pandemic)!

...Yeah, all those pink dots represent ppl...
...The yellow moon looking thing is where I'm standing :)
...But you know, it's worth it!!!
Let me show you why!!! :D
...Off we go, then, starting at FAIRELANDS JUNCTION:

A NC (notecard) from Fiona, called "FionaFei - A Chinese Proverb," which reads:
A Chinese Proverb:
************************************
"A Chinese Proverb" is a "Worldling" created for the sole purpose of the Fantasy Faire at the Fairelands Junction in the style of Chinese ink-brush painting or "shui-mo." With lots of nourishment and love, it may perhaps one day grow into a world of its own! The worldling shows a scene of a pond in the midst of a bamboo forest with distant mountains in the background. Cranes in the foreground forage for fish as a fishing pole nearby successfully catches one. The actual proverb is meant for the viewer to discover or even formulate one for themselves.
About Me
*******************
FionaFei
I am classically trained in oil painting and electronic media. Much of my early years were spent painting landscapes and portraits using oil paint on canvas. However, I developed a love for non-photorealism over the years as an artist.
In continuation with my love of non-photorealism, I now produce art installations exhibit my work around the grid in Second Life. I am mostly known for my ShuiMo series, which is a collection of works in the style of Chinese ink brush painting. You can see many of them in my current ShuiMo Gallery.
Also, there were some object gifties of "A Chinese Proverb" inside (variations included 3 sized versions in "L," "M," & "S" + a "Not Fullbright Version," also with sizes "L," "M," & "S")...

...And when I did, I got a NC called "Aetherna: the complete Lore" by Kadaj, with 2 other NCs in it...
The story of Aetherna:
"The city of Aetherna"
---------------------------------------------------------
This of Aetherna is the Somber Song,
the Golden Town of the Domain,
Who mothered a lineage so strong
that fought through darkness and pain.
[from The Song of Aetherna, 1.1-4)
--------------------------------------------------------
Scaud eplauxto lo ust oec,
ust gam Sips aupres scaud pleunc;
Aurgost sid el lane
nonduin paexorspeu aufui nem miob.
(From the Golden Point she sleeps,
watching the many Realms from afar;
the Mother embracing with pity
every lost child seeking guidance.)
[approximate translation from Trarca, native tongue of the Aethernans.]
The City of Aetherna is a place of hope and sorrow.
Its ruins, now inhabited by elusive creatures hidden within the lush vegetation, have seen better years, in a distant and almost forgotten era.
Aetherna had many names: Golden Town, because of its wealth, shared with entire Realm. Port Hope, not only due to its silver shores, but because every kin was welcomed into its walls. And also, the Aethernans called it Aurgost, "Mother," in their tongue.
The inhabitants were masters in many crafts, and their life quality improved dramatically as they discovered a new, magical element that they called Vaxtri ("Precious", in Trarcan).
Vaxtri was a never ending flow generated from the sap of timeless trees, and it provided a stable and safe power source to help in every aspect of the Aethernans daily life from igniting street lanterns, to start up crafting workbenches. In addition to that, they discovered a way to harness Vaxtri, to power up portals to new Faire Realms.
The citizens of Aurgost never were selfish with the discovery, as they always shared it with every other town and small village of the Realm. They believed that strength comes by not being alone and isolated. They were One Realm.
Unfortunately, this era was doomed to an end, because of the selfish and evil forces of the Unweaver.
Old and yellowed pages of the last remaining records narrate of a dramatic fight of the Aethernans against this crawling evil.
According to these tomes, the Unweaver succeeded in sneaking its creeping arms within one of the sources of Vaxtri, and slowly consumed its power for its own sake. This way, its dark influence slowly spread in Aetherna, and when the folks noticed it, it already was too late.
The battle was fierce, and every single warrior fought bravely against the Light Eater. There were casualties, many; the biggest tragedy that the City of Aetherna had ever witnessed, one from which it would have never recovered. There was no time to rest, as every single citizen had to remove this evil from what used to be their every day life.
Days passed, and they felt like months, years. The Unweaver seemed to grow stronger, and many believed that hope had left the place.
The last surviving Aethernans were forced to flee from their homes, and thanks to one of the last standing portals, they managed to escape, and found shelter in one of the many Faire Realms.
The battle was over. They thought the Unweaver won, but they were wrong. There was one aspect they forgot to consider: the power of Vaxtri.
The years of exposure to this element, quietly changed these people. They thought they managed to control it, but instead, its power began to flow through them. And now, in the places where the battle took place, and where Aethernans perished, flowers, ivies and trees began to grow. Decades afterwards, glowing grass was spotted by unaware travelers, in areas where grass shouldn't be, and many mentioned encountering mysterious entities, speaking a long forgotten tongue.
The Aethernans never truly died.
Vaxtri saved them, and they will forever live in their Golden Town.
If you see a playful tree, or a waving flower, stop by to appreciate its beauty, for it's a warrior who never gave up. And if you spot an entity, fear not, for it's a soul that's finally dancing free.
Free of pain.

"About MacMoragh an Gabha ~ Fenn MacMoragh"
No one knows the exact location of MacMoragh's Forge. There are rumors.....of course, there are always rumors some say it is high on the ruin of Islay, deep in a secluded cave. Himself the dragon, lights his forge and keeps the fires burnin' with his own breath. It was said that the dragon works his forge by the full moons light, that fed by Dragon Fire, as he pounds out the steel to bend and shape it to his will and imagination. Creating wonderful weapons, the like of which had never been seen beyond the fairy realm.
Fenn MacMoragh has been creating in SL for over six years. It started with a pair of boots, then I needed a new kilt, of course I wanted a sword. So then I decided to just keep on building. Eventually also started doing ladies clothes.
I do believe the basis for good business and to get return customers is to give great customer service. So, if you have any issue please drop me a notecard. If for some reason you did not receive your product please do the following. World > Account History. Find the transaction then copy it onto a nc and send it to Fenn MacMoragh.
Get your free awesome goodies (the L$1 is refunded)! ...I, myself got the hilarious gift of "~JJ~ Fairy Princess Farts" a couple years ago and everyone laughs at how cutely obscene they are! ...LMAO!
...Oh, JFC, I know this lady from the yesteryears of fae newby-ness!
...It's jaw-dropping, to say the least, when the first one of your old gang of friends makes it into the big leagues of the best of the best, and didn't think to fucking warn you!!! :o :p XD
And, wow, DD helped her make the mesh book, and Bugs wrote the script! ...Well, I'll be... doubly sucker-punched!!! :o :DDD
So... I had to confront her:
[2020/04/26 00:30] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (majikvixen.lorefield): Congrats on the name change and being featured in FF! :D Imagine my surprise when I started blogging it and stumbled upon your shrine right next to my favorite funny goodie of the Fairy Princess Farts, LOL ...FF rawks! :D And congrats! ♥
[2020/04/26 00:30] Banshee (banshee.heartsong) [who used to be a few display name incarnates of Banshee (abinathra)]: Thanks!
[2020/04/26 00:32] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): What is going to happen is I am live writing for the next 7 days. This work will go into a book that will then be for sell for the last week of the Faire. All proceeds will go to RFL.
[2020/04/26 00:33] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): I've written 19 poems in the last two days. I had three before the Faire about anticipation and that kind of thing. I hope to have 50 new works at the minimum.
[2020/04/26 00:33] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (majikvixen.lorefield): That's so cool!!!
Then we go on to talk about this blog a bit, FF, & picture taking in SL + the technology that will or won't allow us to do it properly... And these are just a couple of noteworthy comments...
[2020/04/26 00:36] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): lol I have been shooting illustrations as I finish a poem. Everything is SO wonderful though. I haven't done a lot of just pictures.
[2020/04/26 00:41] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): I love to take pictures.
And we start talking about mesh and her book more...
[2020/04/26 00:44] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): Blender makes me cry.
[2020/04/26 00:45] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (majikvixen.lorefield): Me too! LOL
[2020/04/26 00:45] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (majikvixen.lorefield): But DD likes it LOL
[2020/04/26 00:46] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (majikvixen.lorefield): I actually was thinking your book was a Thinc book, until I saw DD's name on the build stuff, and then I had to ask her about it
[2020/04/26 00:47] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): Yes. Danelle meshed the book for me. Bugs scripted it.
[2020/04/26 00:47] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): Very lovely.
[2020/04/26 00:48] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): I am more than happy with the results. What I really love is that the books are rezzable, but can also be worn as a hud and read. It makes the print and pictures really large and easy to read.
[2020/04/26 00:55] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): :)
[2020/04/26 00:56] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): I wanted to do something for RFL. What I find interesting is that no one has ever done this before. The LitFest people do a LOT of amazing things, but they haven't done this.
[2020/04/26 00:58] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): No one has done live writing during a Faire and made a book of it, as far as I can tell.
[2020/04/26 01:03] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): My poetry is kind of like a ... party trick. If someone gives me a word I can usually write a poem about it in 10 minutes or so. That's part of what I've done for Songs of the Faire. If I am at the Fairchylde I'll ask for a word. Or today in chat someone was talking about how his tail was cuter than he was and that made him suspicious. So I contacted him and wrote a poem, The Tale of the Sentient Tail...
[2020/04/26 01:03] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): It could be better. I don't edit. I write and release.
Then she asks me about me, this blog, and then she starts talking about her experience of writing in SL...
[2020/04/26 01:17] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): I've been writing in SL the entire time I've been here. Until last year I was writing in a vacuum. Then a chance meeting turned into a gallery. The gallery into this.
[2020/04/26 01:17] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): Maybe you'll be the only one who buys a copy of the book. But that's ok.
[2020/04/26 01:19] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): If I can do my bit for RFL then I'll be happy. But the process has been extraordinary.
[2020/04/26 01:20] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (majikvixen.lorefield): Would love to hear more about it
[2020/04/26 01:20] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (majikvixen.lorefield): I mean, I can kinda guess what happened from knowing you... But I don't know all the little details
[2020/04/26 01:22] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): So a year ago I wandered into an RP here at the Faire. There was a pixie and I live wrote a poem and asked her to please hold still for a minute so I could get a picture.
[2020/04/26 01:23] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): Later that day I found the group of them tromping around. Lady mentioned the poem and I told them that I did that kind of writing all the time. One of the major players and second in command of the RP said, "I think I could use you." lol
[2020/04/26 01:24] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): There was no turning back. I met the Queen, moved to Sindaria, was named the Court Bard. The Queen built me a gallery.
[2020/04/26 01:24] ℳαʝɨҟᐺɨӽڠɳ (majikvixen.lorefield): /me smiles and nods 'cause she remembers visiting it
[2020/04/26 01:25] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): All because I was writing, essentially for myself.
[2020/04/26 01:27] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): It's just one of those things that is.
[2020/04/26 01:28] Banshee (banshee.heartsong): Writing makes me happy. Having readers is fantastic, But I write because I have to.
...And there you have it!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Please be sure and grab a landmark and visit our main gallery housed in a beautiful elven castle. While there, see our current main exhibition along with 3 floors of up to 20 different artists' work. We have special exhibits and events once a month for a feature artist along with keeping the entire gallery updated and pictures rotated at least every 3 months. We have a group of 49 in house artists who participate by providing original artwork for special events throughout the year, including the Enchantment event every 3 months.
While visiting the gallery you may want to stop by our magical forest sim, Lost Unicorn, which adjoins the gallery sim. We also have a NEW sim which just opened in March called Finian's Dream! I apologize. I really wanted to be even better than last year's entry and outdo myself this year... But as fate would have it, things just weren't up to it! In the FF Lab Gab episode, they did say they added 2 more sims this year to give everyone something toO much to do! XD
...Oh!
...I know!
We can end this by watching that FF Lab Gab episode now...!!! ♥ :)
