After all is said and done, I do believe that there are still decent ppl out there in SL...
They are the ones who tell you about a great new game where you can make lots of L$. They are also the ones who pay it forward by giving the referring party all the commission they can. They are the ones who take your inquiries as a compliment and tell you where they got that gorgeous skin or really smexy hair, so you can have a piece of that action too. They are the ones who give you really funny gestures, or literally the wings right off their back. They are the friendly ones who give you awesome scripts when you're stuck in tunnel-vision mode, trying to make your art project simply nothing less than the best ...and insist on not being tipped because they silently and modestly believe in your greater purpose. They are the ones who teach you about hash-tags, how to network, and help you build a bigger group. They are the ones who share heartfelt conversations with you about your RL and make you forget all about your first-world problems. They're the ones who believe we're all in it together, and for you to be healed and whole, makes them healed and whole ...and vice-versa, infinity. They go to bat for you, risking their reputation, being silently punished and scrutinized, but then come over to your place and kick back with some silly dancers and friendly griefing. They are the ones who heap onto you, their extra Gacha items, "just because, smiley-face." They are the ones who believe in a greater good. That knowledge is power. And that it is a double-edged sword one must kneel to and wield well in the war on war.
...Just so we're clear, that is the SL I mostly know. There are some angry and butt-hurt ppl out there who displace one reality into the next because it is a comfortable existence for them. Try not to take it too personal. It is like getting upset about a man not being able to walk because he has no legs. Instead, let's focus on how strong his arms and other attributes have become, which may by far, outweigh the abilities of any regular person. Let's utilize each other's strengths and build a team of bridges into the next realm of transcendence together.
I believe in you and your greater purpose, and that you are one of the most wonderful ppl in SL. Which is why I wrote this for you, especially.
